A distinguished Ecuadorian professional with an outstanding career in higher education and academic management. She currently serves as Rector of Instituto Tecnológico Superior Universitario Rumiñahui, an institution recognized nationally for its commitment to innovation, social inclusion, and academic excellence.
Her connection to education began at an early age, leading her to take on her first public role at Ecuador’s Ministry of Education. Her vision, leadership, and vocation later led her to co-found Instituto Rumiñahui alongside her husband, Dr. Ángel Ernesto Huerta.Under her guidance, the institution became one of the most prominent educational centers in the Valle de Los Chillos.She also served as Administrative and Financial Vice-Rector, fostering institutional growth and strengthening the professionalization of its processes.

A distinguished Ecuadorian academic and executive, widely recognized for his extensive career in the country’s higher education sector. He served as Rector of Instituto Tecnológico Superior Universitario Rumiñahui for more than 17 years (2008–2025), an institution he co-founded with his wife, Dr. Carmita Suárez. He currently serves as President of the Board of Regents, leading the institution’s strategic direction and development.
Under his leadership, Universitario Rumiñahui became one of the most prominent Higher Education Institutions in Ecuador, strengthening its academic model through academic excellence, comprehensive technological training, and strong community engagement.

She currently serves as Administrative and Financial Vice-Rector of Instituto Tecnológico Superior Universitario Rumiñahui, where she also held the role of Director of Human Talent, making significant contributions to organizational strengthening and institutional development.
She is also recognized for her commitment and service to the Christian Church “To God Be the Glory,” where she has made outstanding contributions to its organization and administration in Sangolquí.
