The Construction and Civil Engineering Technologist is qualified to participate in the design, planning, execution,and control of construction projects under the supervision of a Civil Engineer. They are proficient in digital tools (AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project), apply technical and safety regulations,prepare budgets, presupuestos, selecciona materiales adecuados y coordina equipos de trabajo.
Additionally, they are capable of analyzing construction processes,proposing sustainable improvements,applying research methods, and meeting standards of quality, sustainability, and efficiency,contributing to safe projects that are environmentally responsible and compliant with current regulations.
- Participates in the design and planning of construction and civil engineering projects, including the development of plans, structural calculations, and feasibility assessments.
- Utilizes construction safety procedures and regulations, as well as job-site safety measures.
- Employs construction design and project management software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Project, among others.
- These may include mathematical models, computer simulations, structural analysis and design software, and construction materials, among others.
- Applies professional protocols and regulations governing civil construction, such as building codes, safety standards, quality norms, and environmental regulations.
- Civil and road construction: Technologists can participate in the execution of infrastructure projects such as buildings, highways, and bridges, among others. They can lead construction processes, handle specialized tools, and apply technical knowledge to ensure project quality and safety.
- Supervision and management of project execution, ensuring compliance with established quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate work teams and manage the resources necessary for project execution.
- Quality control and inspection: Conduct quality control and inspections in civil and road works, verifying that project-specific standards are met.
